GATHER
Growing Gaia gatherings are open, in-person and virtual experiences rooted in seasonal rhythm, shared presence, and connection with the living world.
Kava Nights
Bi-weekly, in-person gatherings at Root Awakening Kava Bar in Worcester, MA.
Kava Nights are grounded community gatherings centered on connection, conversation, and shared presence. We gather over kava — a traditional, non-alcoholic plant beverage from the South Pacific known for its calming and heart-opening qualities — to slow down and be together in a relaxed, intentional space.
Each night is a little different. Some gatherings include gentle reflection or creative elements, like intention-setting or shared projects. Other nights are simple, open discussions — exploring themes such as shadow work, personal growth, or whatever feels alive in the moment.
There is no pressure to participate in any particular way. You’re welcome to listen, share, create, or simply be.
Participation is open to all and always optional — come to what resonates, when it does.
Gather & Go
Place-based gatherings held in landscapes and locations that invite reflection, curiosity, and connection.
Gather & Go experiences invite the Growing Gaia community to gather in the world — meeting both land and place through shared time, movement, and presence. These gatherings may take place in forests, along the coast, or within cultural and historic spaces that carry meaning, story, and atmosphere.
Logistics vary by gathering. Some experiences offer the option to meet in Worcester and travel together, while others meet directly at the destination.
Occasionally, Gather & Go gatherings may include extended or overnight stays, allowing for deeper immersion and unhurried time together.
Each gathering is shaped by place, season, and intention. Some are quiet and reflective; others are exploratory, conversational, or communal. There is no expectation to attend every gathering or participate in every activity — you’re welcome to engage in ways that feel aligned and supportive.
Participation is open to all and always optional — come to what resonates, when it does.
Foraging Series
Seasonal, place-based walks focused on plant awareness, relationship with the land, and intuitive learning.
Each foraging gathering centers on a small number of plants that are present and accessible in that season. Together, we observe, learn, and explore how these plants grow, where they thrive, and how they have been traditionally and intuitively used.
Participants leave each gathering with a plant card — a simple, tactile reference to the plants explored that day. Over the course of the year, these cards can be collected into a personal, local Materia Medica, shaped by lived experience rather than memorization.
The focus is not on harvesting large quantities or becoming an expert. The emphasis is on awareness, respect, and relationship — learning to recognize plants as living allies within their ecosystem.
Each gathering is shaped by season and place. Attendance is flexible, and there is no requirement to join every walk to participate fully.
Participation is open to all and always optional — come to what resonates, when it does.
Seasonal Gatherings
One-time and occasional gatherings shaped by season, moment, and collective energy.
Seasonal Gatherings arise in response to the time of year, the natural and cultural calendar, and what feels alive within the community. These gatherings may include rituals, ceremonies, celebrations, or reflective experiences that mark transitions, thresholds, or moments of pause.
Some Seasonal Gatherings are tied loosely to seasonal shifts or meaningful dates; others emerge more spontaneously. They may be intimate or expansive, quiet or communal — and they are not always repeated in the same form.
Each gathering is intentionally held, with space for reflection, connection, and shared experience.
There is no expectation to attend every Seasonal Gathering, and no assumption that a gathering will return in a future season.
Participation is open to all and always optional — come to what resonates, when it does.
Virtual Gatherings
Occasional online gatherings that offer connection beyond physical location.
Virtual Gatherings provide opportunities to connect remotely through conversation, reflection, or shared inquiry. These gatherings may take place over Zoom or live online and are offered for those who are unable to attend in person or who prefer to connect from home.
Virtual gatherings vary in format. Some are open conversations or reflection circles; others may explore specific themes or practices. Like all Growing Gaia gatherings, participation is flexible and shaped by what feels supportive in the moment.
Virtual Gatherings are offered as a complement to in-person community and are not intended to replace shared, place-based experiences.
Participation is open to all and always optional — come to what resonates, when it does.
